Project for Camden’s fathers

Posted by news desk in Local News, 2nd June 2009, 4:56pm

Camden Borough Council has launched a new scheme to encourage fathers and male carers living in the area to play a more active role in the lives of their children.

The Camden Dads Project, run by Barnardo’s and funded by Camden Council, has invited local fathers to workshops and events to find out more, hear some inspiring speakers and have their say about the role of fathers and male carers in families.

Camden Dads Project runs a range of classes and can help fathers find drop-in sessions and activities, both after school and at the weekend, that are suitable for their families.

On Tuesday 9 June, the council is running a launch event from 6.30pm at Haverstock School, Haverstock, NW3 2BQ. Readers that want more information should email trudy.walsh@barnardos.org.uk or alastair.martey@barnardos.org.uk. Alternatively, call 020 7388 0295.
